Taking over the world...one computer at a time

I have to say I'm pretty happy today. It's a Sunday. Had a nice little trip to spain (which i'm sure you've read all about), came home to find that the website was particularly busy. Well busier than it has ever been before. When checking the stats for the site I found that Googlebot, AskJeeves, MsnBot, Alexa and a couple other bots had visited the site and successfuly found the robots.txt file. However I wasn't so happy when I searched on the respective sites for subbreed.co.uk

Yesterday, I checked all the engines again and, to my delight, I found that MSN had indexed my site and it could now be found via their search engine. http://search.msn.co.uk/results.aspx?q=subbreed.co.uk&FORM=QBRE

Today has to have been the best day so far, as far as search engines are concerned anyway. Google successfully listed my site and you can search subbreed productions or sub breed tv or subbreed radio or something along those lines and end up with a link to www.subbreed.co.uk
http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=subbreed+production&meta=

AskJeeves, unlike it's rivals, has not yet managed to successfully list the site. AskJeeves is evil! I can't really complain about lycos and all other engines because they haven't exactly crawled the site yet. AskJeeves on the other hand were the first to crawl the site and have hit robots.txt 3 times (last time I checked) and have still failed. I mean no wonder everyone uses Google.

MSN went as far as listing the frame found within the first page. Google, so far, has been the only engine to list the site in a sufficient amount of time after crawling and display the results as i intended them to be displayed.

So if your considering submitting your site to an engine...make sure Google's somewhere at the top of your list.

Anyway I need to go enjoy what remains of my life, instead of sitting here typing random stuff into a web page that is probably never going to be read by anyone.

So till my next random post...peace.
